We regret to inform everyone that our former churchwarden and stalwart of St. Stephen's Church,
Frances Hall died on Monday 15th January 2018 following a stroke the previous week.
Our sincere condolences go to her family and friends.
Frances' funeral will be on Thursday 25th January
at 12.15pm in
St. Stephen's Church, Willington
followed by burial in the Cemetery.
Welcome to the
Hunwick and Willington Benefice.
This is a completely new, stripped down and re-built site that will eventually hold all the information of our former site and more, in a much improved and safer environment. Please be patient as we re-build the site to meet the current and future needs of our visitors. The United Benefice of Hunwick and Willington brings together two neighbouring parishes who share a common goal in living out the Christian gospel to the glory of God and in the service of our communities. Together, we seek to organise ourselves to provide a wide range of mission and minstry opportunies in our communities that will benefit all the people of our parishes.
Our worship styles are varied from high Anglo-catholic to relaxed, non-Eucharistic family orientated services.
We also seek new ways to engage with the community and our Craft Fayre in November 2017 was highly successful and we are told, appreciated.
Day events for children and families at Harvest and Christmas and Easter supplement our regular worship.
Our congregations are warm and welcoming to newcomers - we seek to build the Kingdom of God through generous living.
